- William Brian Hogg received his Bachelor of Science Degree at Austin Peay State University, Clarksville Tennessee, in 1996. Hogg completed a Master of Music Degree in jazz studies at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music in 2003.
- William Hogg travels extensively playing with groups such as The Coasters, the Temptations, the Cab Calloway Orchestra, the Dells, and Dynasty Productions. He has worked with the Cincinnati Pops, has been a featured soloist with the Kentucky Symphony, and the Blue Ash Symphony. William Hogg has traveled the United States, Canada, Morocco Africa, Mexico, France and the United Kingdom as a performing artist at a variety of festivals and venues.
- As a recording artist William Hogg, in collaboration with the group Schvilkus, won a nomination for Best Jazz/Instrumental Group at the National Association of Music Merchants Convention, 1999. He can also be found playing on recordings with such artists as Fred Wesley, Bootsy Collins, The Goshorn Brothers, and a number of radio, television, motion picture, and commercial recordings. Hogg can be heard as a featured soloist on the Inclusion Network's release, Hidden Treasures with Rich Uncle Skeleton and the Psycho-Acoustic Orchestra.
- Other recording releases include arrangements and multi-instrument performances with the gospel star Phil Brown, the salsa group Tropicoso, Christmas 4 You with Bootsy Collins, as well as a recording with blues upstart Jimmy Davis. Hogg has recently added recording sessions with KingSonic, G. Miles and the Hitmen and Kristine Marion to his list of new releases in 2008. Also scheduled for 2008 are tours of Morocco, Europe and the US with a variety of performing groups. He is also the musical director for Jimmy Farid, one of the most sought after entertainers in Morocco.
- Theatre performances include the Off Broadway hit Love, Janis at Actor's Theatre, Louisville Kentucky and the Cincinnati Playhouse, Cincinnati Ohio.
- As an educator, Hogg teaches saxophone, flute, and clarinet. Hogg is the new Assistant Professor of saxophone and jazz studies at Northern Kentucky University. He will be the director of Jazz Studies and Coordinator for the Woodwind Department at the fastest growing university in Kentucky. He also teaches a variety of jazz courses including pedagogy, performance ensembles, improvisation, and jazz styles and analysis. Hogg currently resides in Marrakech Morocco, after performing for three months at the Jazz Club in Casablanca. Since leaving the US for his new home, he has rapidly become one of the most sought after jazz and commercial musicians in North Africa.
- Hogg is the Founder and Coordinator for the EMPOWER program: a community outreach program designed to return the roots of African American heritage to "at risk" and "urban" youth. Upcoming projects include a collaborative effort with Mr. Boubker Mazoz of the U.S Consulate in Casablanca Morocco. He is currently studying French and Arabic languages.
